  1. Very pretty. I see a little shine on the left leg. Do you have any tips for polishing/buffing. My peice just looks matte even after a lot of buffing. Maybe I did something wrong with the wax. The surface was completely dry so not sure what my problem is.

Did you wax or use another finish?

    1. Hi Mary,
I almost always use wax unless it is a table top. You could go back and try buffing it again, sometimes it just needs a little more brisk rubbing. Beyond that, just make sure you wipe any excess wax off right after you apply it. There is a new "buffing brush", it reminds me of the brushes used to polish shoes, but I haven't tried it yet. It is supposed to give the finish a higher sheen. hope this helps. Thanks.

  3. Another thing I like about this is how subtly the gray and blue transition.

    1. Sorry Mary I just saw your second comment. That is the result of several light wash layers.I just like gradual color transitions rather than strong contrasts. Hope the waxing is going better!

  4. I am new to chalk paint. How do you do a "wash" of a new color over your base color? Thx.

    1. Kristen, Hi

For a chalk Paint wash dilute your paint about 2 parts paint to 1 part water. It will be more translucent when it drys.Brush it on the same way as the first coat/base layer. Thanks,
      Leslie

  5. Its like you read my mind! You appear to understand so much approximately this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I believe that you simply could do with some percent to power the message house a bit, however instead of that, this is fantastic blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
